GOD. Maybe he doesn’t have all the answers either.

This piece began with a song and one word that would not leave Ze’s head: GOD.

From there came a bigger question about where we look for answers and why we expect something outside ourselves to have everything figured out.

We often think of God as all-knowing, all-seeing and somehow able to make sense of everything. But what if even God is a bit of a mess? What if he has problems of his own?

Underneath the humour, the piece is really about looking within.

No one can completely know what is happening inside another person’s mind. They can listen, care and try to understand, but some thoughts and feelings remain entirely personal.

GOD turns that idea into a bold, thought-provoking piece of contemporary art: direct, irreverent and open enough for the viewer to bring their own meaning to it.

On the wall, it works as a strong statement piece for anyone drawn to art that makes them look twice, think a little longer and question the obvious answer.
